I’d love your opinions on gastric bypass surgery

So I have a friend who WAS about 230 pounds and long story short:

She’d go on crash diets or unrealistic diets like smoothie diets and lose tons of weight but once she’d get off of then she’d gain it all back - which can be expected since they were a quick fix and not a long term lifestyle change.

She’d go to the gym for a week or two but her eating habits were always so off. I’d tell her to meal prep & give her tips but her excuse was always “I’m too busy”

Now she’s gone through the surgery and has lost 20 pounds in two weeks & is only able to eat things like broth and liquids and what not.

I hate speaking to her about the topic and about the surgery because I feel like she cheated the system. Like she could’ve changed her lifestyle and went to the gym and ate healthy and lost it naturally. She isn’t old she’s still like 20 or 21 so she is capable ! And she doesn’t have health issues or injuries that prevent her from doing it. It was just mere laziness I feel.

I just feel so frustrated when she speaks about the surgery & her results post surgery because I’m here busting my ass eating healthy and working out to get some results and she took the short cut. I feel frustrated, disgusted in her laziness & I feel bad for feeling that way.

Am I wrong to?
